Product Testing
There are more than 20 groups within HP that work to ensure long life by testing
our different products with hundreds of third-party devices in a variety of
networked environments, simulating years of real-world stress. HP systematically
push all of their products past reasonable limits to make sure they can handle
the toughest work place conditions, if encountered. The phases of product
testing include:
| Reliability
All HP products are tested under temperature and humidity extremes. Other
model testing includes electrical signal integrity, electrostatic discharge,
zap the video graphics adapter with electrical surges, and do residual voltage
testing. HP perform thermal mapping and, in a wind tunnel, evaluate airflow
within the chassis to help ensure proper cooling. |
